Week 3 Reflection - HNC

After todays morning session we did some more brainstorming and working on our research proposals together. After much confusion we collectively decided to possibly try backtracking and working backwards and actually start on our essays before working on the proposal first as we were all struggling getting our heads around the format. When working on my essay i was feeling nervous as i had never done one before and was just trying to process and work my way through the learning objectives and the pass, merit and distinction criteria. Thankfully achieved just over 500 words which we were advised to reach for the first learning objective. From this point i then emailed my work to my tutor to see where i was at with essay and try to figure out of i was on the right track or if i was barking up the wrong tree. We also had a visit from marketing and i was selected to talk about my online learning with my use of a website and my fast grasp on working with google classroom and the other google applications. I had previously worked with marketing prior to HNC when doing an interview about the work experience Alice in Wonderland production that I took part in back in February, and also due to having a professional portfolio so it was pleasing to know that i was still achieving and producing that high level of work which they felt was news-worthy for the college website. Moving onto the afternoon session, we finally finished casting the remaining the students faces who hadn’t been cast and focused more on our Unit 25 assignment on Special FX.

I do feel that after getting my feedback from my tutor that I still don't grasp some of the learning objectives and points on the mark scheme in which I need to hit hence this is something I still need to work on. I think that this time next week I want to answer some of the comments on my assignment via google docs.
